The Dance Complex is thrilled to announce that a joint cohort of the Central Square Business Improvement District, the Community Art Center and The Dance Complex have been accepted into the inaugural cohort of The Boston Foundation’s Place Leadership Network!

Working together, we will focus on seeking a strategy to retain and expand spaces for creative expression. Our joint application was among one of the strong applications out of more than 50 Boston-area organizations that steward, activate, and advocate for our shared places within the Commonwealth.

What is the Place Leadership Network?
Creative, culturally-vibrant, and equitable public public spaces (Main Streets, Business Improvement Districts, Cultural Districts, etc.) require dedicated stewards. This program by The Boston Foundation works to connect and strengthen leaders in the place management field.

How will it work?
For nine months, we will learn from one another, access a network of expertise and resources, and advance transformative projects for their respective communities. At the end of the program, The Boston Foundation will dedicate a meaningful fund to help us implement programs and projects developed as a part of the Place Leadership Network.
