“Strength and stability in heels” is a specialized workshop curated by dance medicine specialists, tailored for dancers across various genres. Blending elements from hip hop, latin ballroom and other styles, the workshop offers an exploration of techniques to enhance strength, stability, and injury prevention, with a particular emphasis on dancing in heels. Rooted in the principles of dance medicine, this workshop aims to empower dancers with tools for self-expression, confidence, and physical well-being, catering to the diverse backgrounds and styles within the heels dance community.

 

What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject

Melissa has been a dance medicine professional for 18 years and brings years of foot and ankle expertise to the mix. Dana has been a dancer, particularly a salsa dancer for years and brings her unique experience and expertise to the floor.
