Nicole “Nikki” Blades (she/her) is a Boston-based artist and performer. She was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and graduated from Goucher College in 2021 with a B.A. in Dance and Communications. While attending Goucher, she discovered her passion for arts administration and programming through her on-campus positions working for the Center of Dance, Music, and Theater, most notably as the Social Media Content Director for the Center. Nikki joined The Dance Complex in January 2022 as a Community Engagement Associate.
As a performer, Nikki has explored and evolved her movement vocabulary, enjoying many styles of dance from heels to contemporary. She has been a member of Boston Community Dance Project and Pantos Project Dance’s Ensemble. Nikki is currently a part of Head to Heels: The Company where she performs across New England in her favorite stiletto heels and in Leaps and Bounds Movement Company.
When she’s not dancing or working in The DC’s office, you can find her teaching dance and creative movement to children and teens with the occasional adult class. Nikki is an avid reader and enjoys exploring Boston and beyond!
