aMaSSiT presents works in progress by local choreographers through pitch sessions designed to propel them further towards realizing their ambitious dance creations. The pitch session allows the artist to give more information about their aspirations for the project, and outline what they might need to bring their creation into its next phase.

aMaSSiT (a Make it Share it, Show it lab) is an artist’s next deep step in identifying and articulating their unique choreographic voice. The Dance Complex’s aMaSSiT Choreography Lab has evolved to an in-depth curriculum focusing on choreographic tool building and best artistic business practices. This unique program, open to creators in all dance genres, is structured to both foster those early in their careers and to deeply challenge more experienced artists. The 2024 season of aMaSSiT, a collaboration between The Dance Complex and Monkeyhouse, develops tools for building momentum to transform an idea into a larger project.
