Getting Here 

We are located at 536 Massachusetts Avenue in the heart of Central Square, Cambridge, MA. We can be reached by MBTA transit via the Central Square stop on the Red Line T, and Bus Line #’s 1, 47, 83, 86, & 91. Public parking is available at several locations within 1 to 2 blocks of the building including along Mass Ave., Cambridge Municipal Lot #5 at 84 Bishop Allen Drive, Cambridge Municipal Lot #6 at 65 Bishop Allen Drive and the Green Street Garage at 260 Green Street.  

All In Movement

The Dance Complex’s All In Movement lens of programming strives to make dance an experience for all, regardless of class, race, ability, age, orientation or any label of identity through offering classes, workshops and community events. Its programs encapsulate the overall mission of The Dance Complex to welcome all to be participants in the vast world of dance; no one is the other here. We bring ourselves as we are to explore, discover and take our next steps in dance.

Accessibility of Performance Spaces at The Dance Complex

We have a new chair lift up to the 2nd floor! 

Our ground-level lobby area/ informal performance space as well as our 2nd floor Julie Ince Theatre are ADA compliant. There is a motorized lift that can bring one person at a time from the ground floor to the second floor where our theatre is located should a guest wish to use it. There is no elevator. Accessible seating is available in the first row of our 4-row seating area. Steps lead to the other rows of seating. Gender-neutral accessible bathrooms are located on both the ground and second-floor levels of the building. For any questions regarding accessibility please call the main office at 617.547.9363

Accessibility of Dance Studio Spaces at The Dance Complex 

Our ground-level Studio 7 and our Studio 1/Julie Ince Theatre space on the second floor are ADA compliant. There is a motorized lift that can bring one person at a time from the ground floor to the second floor where our lobby, staff office and studio 1/theatre are located should a guest wish to use it. There is no elevator in the building. The remaining 5 studios can be accessed by stairs. Studio 2 is on the third floor, Studios 3, 4 and 5 are on the fourth floor and Studio 6 is on the fifth floor.
