What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?
Pilates is an exercise system that was developed by Joseph Pilates in Mönchengladbach, Germany in the early 1920’s. It was designed to unify the mind and body, promoting controlled movement and rehabilitation. By combining breath, movement, and proper body mechanics, Pilates enhances both physical and mental awareness of how the body moves and feels.
What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?
Britney is a seasoned instructor who fuses her years of knowledge to deliver powerful and thoughtful classes. She has studied both classical and contemporary Pilates, drawing from the lineages of Kathy Grant, Romana Kryzanowska, and the STOTT Pilates method. By blending these techniques, Britney creates a well-rounded, full-body movement practice every time you step onto the mat. Her sequences are designed for all levels, focusing on celebrating your body’s strengths through mindful and intentional movement
