This course enables students to enhance their knowledge of Flamenco dance and music, focusing on the study and practice of its rhythms, technique, zapateado (footwork) técnica corporal (body technique) giros (turns) palmas (claps) body percussion, Choreography and improvisation. Exploring the different styles (palos) and rhythms of traditional Flamenco will lead the students for a better understanding of the art form. |

| What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?
Flamenco music and dance is originally from the south of Spain (Andalucía) It’’s a mix of tradicional Spanish folklore and has multiple influences from different cultures, such as moorish, hindu, gipsy, etc. |
| What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?
It’s a family tradition. In my case I’ve studied with my family and many teachers since the age of 4 and I’ve been performing and teaching in 5 continents since I was 9 years old. |
