Pre-Ballet with Caregiver Ages 3+

What can students expect from this class?

Pre-ballet is an introduction to dance using creative movement and very basic ballet steps and terminology. Through movement games and activities children will learn and practice spatial awareness, rhythm, balance, and coordination.

This is a class for parents/caregivers and children for January and February 2024. Full participation of parents/caregivers supports movement development, and they are required to stay with their dancer and participate during the entire class. Starting March 2, 2024 class will become drop-off only so we can prepare the students for learning a dance and performing in our June Performance.

Please note: Siblings, family members, friends, and Dance Complex community members are not permitted to stay in the studio during class.

What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?

The School of Classical Ballet was founded in 1985 by Anna Myer and Patricia Adelmann. For over 30 years, the school has provided students with classical ballet training and helped to develop student appreciation for dance as an art form. We currently offer classes in ballet and contemporary. Director Kirsta Sendziak, faculty, and staff continue to provide students the quality of instruction upon which the school was founded.

The School of Classical Ballet is a technique-based school with emphasis on learning. Performances are all-inclusive for students to showcase their technique and gain experience performing for an audience.
