Get ready for some music that you can (swing) dance to as Travels With Brindle celebrates the release of her latest album! Ukulele chanteuse Chelsea Spear joins forces with the fusion dance troupe Balter Dance to play No. 1 in Heaven Starring Travels With Brindle in its entirety. Balter Dance members will also offer a swing dance lesson.
After releasing her first album of original music in 2023, Spear is releasing No. 1 in Heaven Starring Travels With Brindle, a tribute to the Los Angeles pop duo Sparks, on March 7. On March 14 at The Dance Complex, Travels With Brindle and Balter Dance throw Sparks’ 1979 electro pop masterpiece back to the days of vaudeville and music hall crooners.

About Travels with Brindle:
Chelsea Spear has been a music critic, a show promoter, a college radio host, and a video director… but all she really wanted to do was start a band. Not long after learning to play the ukulele, she formed the bedroom recording project Travels With Brindle. Her melodic original songs and wry, poignant lyrics have attracted a growing audience at open mics and busking pitches in the Greater Boston area. After releasing her first album of original music in 2023, Spear is releasing No. 1 in Heaven Starring Travels With Brindle, a tribute to the Los Angeles pop duo Sparks, on March 7.
