REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS for inclusion in the PERFORMANCE SERIES at the Dance Complex for the 2017-2018 SEASON —

Proposals sought for inclusion in for the 2017-2018 season at The Dance Complex in Cambridge, MA. This 2017-2018 season marks the 25th Anniversary of The Dance Complex.

Priorities for inclusion for either individual artists or companies include artistic quality, unique programming, solid and successful self-production history. The Dance Complex seeks a balance of a variety of genres overall for the series.

The Dance Complex assists artists who produce their work in our space. We do not, generally, “produce” events. It is the expectation that the artists involved will lead pr/marketing efforts, as well as self-produce all aspects of their production.

The Dance Complex will support the series and artists with augmented press/media, professional advice in both production and artistic concerns. Options for sharing evenings/weekend among more than one artist is possible and encouraged, as is interest from artists beyond the immediate region.

A general description of the Julie Ince Thompson Theatre is included on our website. Requests for performances in alternative spaces in the building, including our new street level Studio 7, will be considered. Fees will be determined in dialogue with The Dance Complex and factor space usage and other variables.

Request for Proposal/Interest will be accepted from this posting date ongoing; earlier submission encouraged.
